The 24-hour flight cancellation law is a name for a regulation by the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) that guarantees any customer that purchased a ticket at least seven days of a scheduled departure directly through an airline that is going to or from the U.S. can cancel or change the ticket free of charge or a full refund. This law is not applicable to online travel agencies (OTAs) which may provide their own refund policy.
